Four shortlisted teams from the PR course at Leeds Metropolitan University presented creative PR proposals against a challenging brief to encourage students to register for organ donation.

life's a pitch (news) “The PR industry needs more qualified practitioners who can survive in a commercial environment, and this competition helps prepare the students in some important ways for the workplace,” said Justin McKeown, divisional director at Trimedia (himself a PR graduate). He added: “Amid tough competition, Inno PR’s ‘Lifesavers’ campaign stood out for its simple concept, good story ideas and realistic understanding of logistics and execution.”.

The prize-winners – Chris Bennett, Charlotte Brophy, Ben Cotton, Mandy Cunliffe, Matt Peden and David Turnbull – share the £1,000 prize money.
