Students sought to promote ‘Sort Out Your Crap Life’
An author and TV presenter is seeking PR student support to help promote her new self-help book.
‘Sort Out Your Crap Life’ is in a new genre of self help books aimed at 15 -45 year olds, based on author Claire Anstey’s experience of how she sorted out her life when tragedy struck. A flavour of the book can be found at www.sortoutyourcraplife.com
A percentage of each book sale will go to CALM, The Campaign Against Living Miserably a charity for young men that Claire is Ambassador for. More information on this can be found via Claire’s personal website www.theanstey.com
Claire is looking for people with a passion for the book to help with an edgy promotional campaign. Claire is currently a voice for MTV and with her experience of suicide and depression inspiring the book there are plenty of hooks and opportunities for good stories and campaign ideas.
The author has set up her own publishing company to publish this book. She feels that the publishing industry has changed – just like the music industry – and aims to build a campaign that will prove success is in the hands of the individual.
To help with the promotional campaign, please apply via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Claire would like candidates to write a little about themselves, what they think of the book via what they see on the website and how they think that they can promote it.
Volunteers can work their own hours and from home. Although this is a voluntary position at the moment future paid opportunities may arise.
Please apply by 15th October 2010.
