She may have a public relations degree from Bournemouth, an advanced certificate in marketing and have 8 years’ experience in marketing and PR roles. But Natalie Brewer’s induction at Liz Lean PR posed a new set of challenges.

The Sandbanks, Dorset company sent their new recruit on a Hardy Women Weekend on nearby Brownsea Island.

Natalie BrewerNatalie joined joined 30 other women who were given various tasks including making their own shelters, taking part in a nature walk, cooking on camp fires and cutting down rhododendron bushes which, though beautiful, prevent other plants from flourishing on the island.

As well as helping in these practical ways, she also raised funds to support the work of Dorset Wildlife Trust.

Natalie Brewer, now a senior account manager at Liz Lean PR said: “I love a challenge and this was a chance to not only support Dorset Wildlife Trust in their good work but meet fantastic people as well as experiencing something out of my comfort zone. I saw the island’s three red squirrels during the event.”
