The Castle Dungeons at Warwick Castle turns one this month – and bosses are planning a birthday “bawl” in honour of its first anniversary.
Since the doors to the dungeons were first opened in April 2009, the gory attraction has caused considerable controversy by causing 35 people to faint and 22 people to vomit, as well as burying five people alive in the grounds.
The venue also made headline news in the weeks running up to launch when builders working on the project reported a paranormal disturbance, which left one worker too scared to enter the site.
The Castle Dungeons is set to continue its controversial run with its first birthday celebrations in which people being asked to scream in appropriate places for the chance to win £1,000.
Entrants have up until the end of April to film their ‘inappropriate scream’ and post it on the wall of the Castle’s Facebook fan page in order to enter.
