CIPR Approved: Yes

Offers placement year: Yes

Overall:  5: The students receive continued support from tutors within a fantastic new building designed especially for the Business and Law Faculty.

Teaching/Lecturers: 4: Tutors offer practical advice and real-life examples gained from their own personal experiences, helping to establish complete understanding for the module.

Support available: 5: Lecturers offer advice and constant support and reassurance. Personally, I have built up a good rapport with them and job opportunities are always e-mailed around internally.

Extra Opportunities available: 5: As the PR Representative for the University, I have been supported fully and encouraged to actively establish “events” for the students. A recent networking event was organised to help encourage student/practitioner relationships.

Accommodation:  4: The University accommodation is continually renewed and refreshed, from modernising existing fittings to installing new Wi-Fi systems. All accommodation is extremely close to campus and all are safe and secure.

Facilities (including library): 4: The library is an attractive and modern building, offering state of the art computers and Macs. Laptop loans are also available for use and group rooms are always available. The library includes “quiet areas” which are specially designed for those needing to complete assignments and projects in silence. All other areas generally allow for conversation so that a perfect balance is achieved.

Nightlife: 5: Lincoln has the advantage of having an on-campus events venue run by the SU. The “Engine Shed” offers a large venue attracting the likes of “Feeder” and “Tinie Tempah”.  All other bars and clubs are within walking distance and often offer different themes for a memorable night-out.

Students Union: 5: The Student Union constantly champion for change and engage with students to discover criticisms and negative aspects of University life. Students genuinely feel that they are supported by the SU and their presence is maintained throughout the years at University.

The University of Lincoln offers a safe and memorable experience for all. The mix of modern buildings and facilities with the prestige and experience of Lecturers helps to ensure that the University of Lincoln is a quality establishment, with a real focus on delivering investment in their students.
